Project management requires an analytic and structured approach, which can be described in a DIN-definition. Starting from the conceptual development of a project, the individual reply to fundamental questions regarding a logical project organisation is always necessary. Particularly the planning process is of great importance here. In order to implement a project successfully, tools are needed which enable a successful project control; these are project structure, activities during the project, expenditure of time, capacity and resources allocation as well as progress and project monitoring. The basis of these project management tools is the knowledge about background, necessities and one’s own understanding of a reasonable use of appropriate tools. This seminar offers theoretical principles and enables an evaluation with regard to own parameters and one’s own project activity.

The participants will gain an overview about the total structure of project management and will know the ideal typical procedure in projects. They will be able to plan, structure and start their own projects. With help of a project team they will be able to manage complex tasks efficiently on an inter-divisional and/or cross-functional basis.
